Sorry to say I had no difficulty in maintaining clockwise circles with the foot whilst drawing the 6 with the right hand either from the inside out or from the outside in . It rather depends whether you are practised in these sort of disparate movements

re: "I would love to know how these right-handed instructions work for left handed people."

I am left handed, can write with my right hand, and can write upside down. But it still works for me, regardless of which side I try it on. I can not rotate my hand and foot in opposite directions either.

Traverllering's trick works though! But, since doing it avoids the whole point, which is that your brain connects the two so that we can't rotate the hand and foot on the same side in opposite directions, then I guess it is just a trick, not disproving the original thing.

I guess this is still true:

Pish posh!  There's a cheat to everything. Just draw the six backwards, starting at the inside of the circle and running around clockwise up the tail.  I would love to know how these right-handed instructions work for left handed people.  If the right is not your dominant side, does the right foot still do it if you make the six with your right hand?

I almost couldn't stop my foot from doing it even when I just thought of moving my hand!

How smart is Your Right Foot?

Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon............ This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can't. It's preprogrammed in your brain!

1. While sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction!
I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.

      Thanks
