Take a bit off the bottom of the nut. You really should lap the joints also; saves a bit of agro later on.

I am assembling a new set of disc brakes all the components are new and the balljoints will not tighten up. I have not laped the balljoints so no material has been removed. Even after removing the locktap and tighting the nut the balljoints are still lose. Hope you guys have a good idea thanks Nick
