Pick up one of those cheap spark checkers from harbor freight. $3-4 bucks or so and it plugs inbetween the spark plug wire and the plug. Hook it up and you can see the spark from the drivers seat. dan "I don't know much, but what I do know I know little of "

I had a problem like that, stalled at stops. I figured out after watching the gas come out the overflow, that my carb's float had a hole in it. It was full o' gas, and wasn't floating! I had some other floats around and switched. Runs good again. 1966 Austin Cooper S 1965 Triumph TR4A 1965 Triumph Spitfire aka: [FS] Big_Joe!

Anyone want to hold a wire for me? If I can only reach the ket and the wire at the same time.... Thank You in advance! Stieve Grumpy: I'm bettin' The Joker told you to kill me soon as we loaded the cash. BOZO;The Joker: No no no no, I kill the bus driver. Grumpy: Bus driver? What bus driver?

Coil sounds good. Check your spark next time it rips a fart and leaves you stranded. My Mini's are un-officially sponsored by Coor's brewing company.

Filter King fuel filter, electric SU pump, engine water temp at 165. Coil maybe, I am driving in traffic at about 4k RPM. Thank You in advance! vapor lock? Is your fuel line too close to your exhaust manifold? Since this is most likely to occur when you are sitting still, like at a light, when there isn't any air circulating, and then go away as soon as things cool back down a bit, that is my first guess. Try a simple experiment: wrap the fuel line with liberal amounts of aluminum foil and try it again (wrap it all wrinkly so there are lots of air pockets, though the foil itself will block the majority of the infrared energy from the manifold, the air pockets will also provide some insulation effect against absorbing heat).
Also, your coil could be overheating, but I think that is more likely to be during high speed driving.
Dirt in your fuel? Do you have a filter in the fuel line?

Ok, car runs great, for about 13 miles, on 4 occasions it has stalled at lights, where Ihad to push it out of the way. I waited a couple of minutes, and started up, without a problem. I did see about a week ago, the RPM's drop about 1K rpm for a second then return to where I was running at. I put in 91 octane and that stopped. I am wondering what is causing the stalling? Maybe the condensor? Thank You in advance! Stieve Grumpy: I'm bettin' The Joker told you to kill me soon as we loaded the cash. BOZO;The Joker: No no no no, I kill the bus driver. Grumpy: Bus driver?
