you are VERY lucky, you were dealing with someone who was not out to rip folks off on a regular basis and thus did not know to keep their money out of it, I dealt with a thief and he knew the rules of the game. Peter

I won a dispute over a $500. deposit, I called PayPal customer service (1-888-221-1161) and they told me as soon as someone paid for something and deposted money into their account PayPal would grab it, and they did !, all of it, then I got nasty e-mails from the sellers,

For those of you who may be taken in by the flashy and promising new changes to paypal that seem to take all of the worry out of using paypal or ebay. Read one of the final lines on the recent email

"What if PayPal makes a final decision in my favor? Under the PayPal Buyer Complaint Policy, we will use best efforts to collect the amounts from the seller. Recovery is not guaranteed and is limited to the amounts that PayPal can recover from the seller's Account. The amounts collected from the seller will be placed in your Account."

Remember my problems folks, I "won" a paypal dispute for nearly 300 quid and all of their hard work got me 8 pence. If the seller is a crook why would they leave their account open for harvesting of the monies back???

what a joke, I still have the "open dispute" on my paypal account.
