all you have to do is select ALL COLUMNS for each row you wish to sort. Easiest way to do this type of select is to position the cursor in the first column(which is always numbered and not part of the spreadsheet.) Then hold the cursor down and drag the cursor thru the row numbers for all rows you wish to sort. Click on Data tab, click on sort and specify the columns to be used for sorting and whether or not columns are to be sorted ascending or descending Then specify if a header row is included in your range to be sorted.

Select all cells that you want to sort (from MkI to the 850 on MkIII) the select Data, Sort and it will ask you which column you want to sort first. Or you can do an even cooler thing: select the title row (Mini Mk to Size Engine) and select Data-Filter-Auto Filter. This way you can sort in various was with just a little drop menu from each column. Just remember to reset filters when you want to start again. I hope this helps and is not very confusing.

Hey guys I need to do up an excel sheet and Im having trouble figuring out how to do something. how do you lock the info in a row all together. So if you sort by column all the info in the row stays together? For example Mini Mk Color Size wheels size engine MkI Blue 10 850 MkII Blue 12 998 MkIII white 10 850 What would I do to each row to keep the info together so if I were to sort by assending order of wheel size all the info for each car would stay correct and not just the wheel size info move. Thanks
