I have two seats for sale, from a '79. Great condition. One tiny 1/8" hole in driver's LHD seat, but otherwise quite nice. All mounting frames, mechanism, including PULL knob. I can easily ship them to you, for exact shipping cost from Oakland, CA. I have a friend who is west coast Recaro distributor, so seat boxes available. Make me a reasonable offer and they are yours.
Pic probably too big, so here's a link. http://www.photodump.com/geo/MINIseats177.html

I'm just looking for the more "standard" low back seats. No headrest, just simple seats. Here's what I have now, not really a good picture but I'm pretty sure they're not from a Mini. Although it is nice that they tilt foward and slide up down and around, but I'm looking for something simpler. Willie_B has offered to sell me some seats that he has so I'll explore that avenue and see how it goes.

Sounds like he might be satisfied with the more common low back seats.

Those seats are indeed innocenti seats. I know someone who just took some of those seats out of his inno in favor of mk4 single post headrest seats (I'm not sure why). Not sure if he is willing to sell them, but if you want those exact seats in that exact color, I can forward to him your contact info if you email me. --Spank

my guess is mayfair seats with the single post headrest removed? I'm picking out a Thermos for you. Not an ordinary Thermos for you. But the extra best Thermos that you can buy, with vinyl and stripes and a cup built right in.

I'm no authority, but those you have pictured look like Authi or Innocenti Mini seats to me. Was this a random or specific picture of the exact seats you want, or are you just wanting a standard Mini seat that hinges at the front? (if you ARE wanting the former, I suspect they'll be harder to find) ~ 30 minutes in a Mini is more therapeutic than 3 sessions @ the shrink. ~ For Sale or Trade: 1961 Land Rover Series II 88" -$5k or a Mini Mike NB, Canada

Looking to buy some seats for my Mini. I'm not too well versed on the differences in seats that were around from year to year, but I do know what style I want: I'm looking for ones similar to those in the picture, just the simple seat that attaches in the front and flips forward so you can get into the back seat. Reclining or other adjustability isn't necessary (keep it simple stupid) Condition of the coverings is not important as I will be getting them recovered and refoamed if needed. If anyone happens to be within a few hours drive of Chicago I would be willing to come pick them up. Otherwise they'll need to be shipped. brian.quirk at gmail dot com
