Bill, as far as I know the caps deffo fit, as a matter of fact the guys who sell the rims on ebay also sell the caps, Possibly but I can't imagine why they might be a different size but why remake what is already in the marketplace.
I am sure the standard one will fit. The rims I have seen come in silver and offwhite.

One of the MOT guys has the wheels that fit on the 8.4" brakes w/ 10" tires and it has stock mini hubcaps on them. See pickup. Mad Dog www.miniownersoftexas.org

I appreciate the kind offer Herman, but I can't use the reverse rims... I need the true S offset to keep them under the bodywork. The seller of the repros has answered all of my questions (and sent photos) to my satifaction with one exception... they don't seem to know if a Cooper hubcup will in fact fit on the rim. Apparently none of their customers run caps to their knowledge... and while I appreciate the "hardcore" look, that's not what I'm going for. They said they'd source a cap and test fit for me... Bill

Thanks for the heads up. The offset is advertised as +35... I have inquired directly what that "really" means in terms of fitment. Think I'll go that route (assuming the wife approves... she's not picky about what I do to most of the cars but she likes to have a say on her cars and the Mini... but maybe I'm being redunant there without yet knowing it. ;-) ) Bill

Bill as per spank the ones I know about in alloy are for fitting outside of 8.4 disks and thus need sportpack arches, BUT, I have heard several times about others that are for standard fitament and have the correct S offset, I just never have seen them. The ones I have seen are nice alloy ones that go on 8.4 disks and actually clear them by being outside of the whole caliper, Kinda a wide setup, Might want to see if they actually make the correct S offset ones. peter No more cars left, Westpaminis is now just a memory, Good luck to all those hard working dealers left out there, We can tell you its not easy. Never had any complaints about my stud length, but the 3/8 diameter often gets laughed at. ;-) Thanks for the head up... actually I have a set of longer studs on hand because even with the Contessas the stock length is marginal (which is why I didn't run the autocross at the Frederick MME... after passing tech I retorqued the lugs and stripped three due to insuffcient engagement) Bill

bill, if the ones you're talking about are the ones that push out so 8.4 discs can be used, I've glanced at a set. very thick mounting area and you need pretty long studs, I'd say. --Spank

A little OT, but what do the 3.5" cooper s rims go for? I've got a set, but want to move on up to the repro alloys so I can fit thicker tires.

Even the UK auctions I've seen have them approaching the $500 mark, so you're very likely correct. Just thought I'd check here first. Has anyone seen the alloy repros in person? Do they look as good as they do in the photos? Thanks! Bill

Those reproductions may be the way to go as the last few sets of 4.5 S wheels I have seen for sale were over the $500 mark.

Looking to buy a set of 10x4.5" (non-reverse) Cooper S rims in nice shape (needing paint is fine). Willing to sell or trade a very rare set of 10x5 S-offset Contessas from OZ http://fnader.com/Mini.htm (closeup further down the page) Not willing to pay an arm and leg since new alloy reproductions are only $500 and would actually fit my needs better than a steel set... Thanks! Bill
