people who race Minis on pavement usually remove them and run without them.

I've run mine without for nearly five years. I drive in all weather and rallycross, too. How shiny my wheels are isn't a concern, though. Thanks to the Interstate Highway System, it is now possible to travel from coast to coast without seeing anything. Charles Kuralt Autox/Rallyx Videos

That was the other solution, take them off and weld a washer for the bolt as that is where they broke. I'll just deal with the added dust for a while. Thanks!

no need to replace them, just take the plate off and weld the brackets back on unless they have completely rotted away. A guy in our club took his off last year as they were very noisy and he has not had any problems other than more dust than he would like collecting on his wheels.

Hello, the left side dust plate has 3 connection points to the disk brake assembly, 2 of them have broken and the plate is vibrating and rubs the edge of the disk, I know our host sells them and I plan to replace it, but, is there any issues with running witthout it?, it's in sunny South Florida and does get driven in rain occassionally, no mud or salt . Thanks
