A three digit date code like CX141 likely means that they were made on the 14th week of 1991, meaning they're 17 years old. I wouldn't put them on a trailer and expect them to carry their intended load. And A008's made in 2002 would be just about too old for me to consider putting on any Mini I'd own that I'm planning on driving hard. I'd put them on for this summer and wear them out this year. European auto manufacturers recommend that tires older than 6 years, including spares never driven on, be discarded. SE7EN

I had a set back in the early 70's. Not much meaty rubber available back then. I had the 6 plys which were so stiff you couldn't tell you had a flat until you drove it. They didn't handle very well because the tire had a distinct crown even on the 6" wheel it came with. I had them shaved to flaten it out but they still didn't handle. Best trade I every made was the four of them for a set of original Minilites. The next owner put them on a trailer where they belong.

Doesn't somebody out there need some boat trailer tires? Bias ply tires on a Mini are WICKED! A handling nightmare.

Are they radials or bias ply tires? Speed rating? Those are critical.
