On my way up to Maine, there's a very likely chance that I'll be swinging thru Topsfield, MA. for an overnight, and to drop off the wifey at sis-in-laws crib, where she'll possibly stay for the duration of the Meet. We'll have both daughters in tow as well. You're more than welcome to get mixed in with all that, but are you sure you'd want to? If these family plans change however, and I find myself reverting to Plan-B and running solo, of course I'll swing by and pick you up. I'll keep you posted as the plan gets set. As far as lodging during the Meet, I'll be staying at the host hotel.

Yeah, Al said he would provide a mini; but you can't pick me up? Is Neal riding with you? Is it too hot there to camp out, I wonder?? Sail & Drive Fast! Live Slow! Billy Backstay

We shall see, Howie, my good mate!!! I've got Etchells and a Bermuda 40, that other people pay all the bills for, and let me go race with, or for them; one bloke even lets me be the crew boss!! And when the Etchells guy is off shooting "sporting clays"; I get to select a "ringer" to steer the boat, and we usually win. Only problem is that I need more experienced crew for the B-40 program... If you can trim and jibe an MPS Spinnaker, I could use your assistance, mate! And, at the present moment, I've got no mini....... Sail & Drive Fast! Live Slow! Billy Backstay

Just to answer a question about the resort. I work for another resort that use to be owned by the same company as Sunday River. That was our corporate headquarters. I've spent many nights there for company business as well as being in the area for the Maine Forest Rally. As much as I was not a big fan of the company(the former owner of SR), the hotel was run well, and its a decent place, so don't fear it. Its a really nice area. The facilities are nice too. Should you need a pint I highly recommend the brew pub at the bottom of the access road.

Howard - I LOVE this schedule! I know I'm bound to be helping on the Vipernoir stand, but the choice and number of activities is going to turn this into a real holiday. Alex, Jim & I have got rooms booked already. Clubman & 1275GT - its hip to be square!

GGGEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ- Billy, get your priorities straight, "Howie....keep me posted. I hope it doesn't conflict with a boat race?????" "A boat race," give me a break, and MMEast is only spitting distance from you in 08- How about guys like Rick Hunter driving 3500 miles to attend-? or Cheleker, driving a clubman wagon even further ??-They are the real enthusiasts here- BIG AL-
