Got mine Sept. 2, 2007 (77 Mini 1000) as a "sort of" anniversary gift. The wife finally let me buy one in an attempt to shut me up because she was tired of hearing me talk about getting one someday. I've liked Minis for quite some time and still remeber the first Mini I ever saw/the one that hooked me on them. Does anyone remeber that on the old TV show CHiPs, for a few episodes, Jon had a metallic blue Mini for his personal car. I was only about 5 or 6, but it made a lasting impression on me. Although, at the time, I also really liked AMC Pacers because I thought they looked like the Kool-Aid man - go figure... Constipated people don't give a crap!

The 66 ,which was an 850 but now a 1380, came into the family in 2001 and the 80 Clubby Estate followed in 2007. The 66 is always ready to roll. While the 80 is just a roller ready for a motorswap of the turbo diesel variety.

September 2007. 1991 Rover Mini Mayfair, 48000 miles, awesome condition. I've been redoing the car since April and found a few bad spots, but nothing I can't handle.
of course, I needed the 05 I purchased new in April 05 to turn me onto the Mini world I had previously knew nothing about The Bitterness of Poor Quality Remains Long After The Sweetness of Low Price Is Forgotten ! EVIL PREVAILS WHEN GOOD MEN DO NOTHING.

June 14th 2008. Yes, I just got my first Mini. 1975 Morris Mini 1000. It now has a 1275gt engine and front brakes. It needs a little bit of work but looks and drives great. Tim If my manliness is determined by the size of my wallet, then I must be a 7 year old little girl.

My first and only (thus far) Mini came to be mine on Auguest 7 2007, roughly 5:30 in the evening,...it was a warm evening, quite nice, when in the horizon came the Mini Mover and his trailer with Maude. I wont forget that day A 1976 Clubman Ryan Maude The Mini

Had a friend in highschool who drove one, his dad raced one... always liked the cars back then. Went into '60's muscle cars first but quickly realized I could not afford the gas bills I sold my 3 toys ('61 GMC 910, '63 Nova wagon, '63 Chevy II) and then bought a mini last summer. Got it off Vancouver mini club's website. Flew out there, inspected the car, drove it home. Starting to redo it and give it a sportspak flavoring - not that the car was bad to begin with, just dont like the color 1972 mini - Under construction - progress pics here

I just ordered my first mini a few days ago, a brand new 08 cooper s, This is also going to be my very own first car. My cousin who had a 2005 mini cooper s convinced me to get this car, I always wanted one too it was just at my max price range. Managed to get the sport package with it too, buying the floor mats was just over my limit

2001, 67S. My love for minis began when I was 14 years old. My father bought a 71 1000 from Canada.

In 1976 I bought a 1964 Austin Mini with bad gear box for $125 and a 1966 for parts at a cost of $75. A year later I traded the 64 for my 58 Chevrolet wagon (which I still own). I went many years without a Mini and purchased my 1959 Morris 850 in 2000.

A bone stock 1974 car in 2000 from board member Racerkoi. Then a van in '03 and the present car in '04. I guess I'm past due to switch again... Steve You will learn more about Minis by driving one for 30 minutes than if you read every book written about them.

1965. '61 Austin 850, blown gearbox. Friend Dave's dad owned a John Deere dealership. We rebuilt it there with the help of some of the farm mechanics..didn't look too foreign to them. Ran like a dream. Flogged it 'til I entered USAF in '68. Assigned to England, bought '65 Cooper S, I was doomed.

1972. 1967/68 850cc Austin Countryman Deluxe (no wood) for $175 CDN + 3% sales tax. Insurance was about $70 to $80. Nicknamed "The Chirp" due to its grabby clutch. Drove it for about 2.5 years until it was too rusty to be on the road. Along the way it received the 1100cc upgrade and seats from an Austin 1100 for $50 or so. "Hang on a minute lads....I've got a great idea."

I first saw a Mini in 1964, I was 14. for years I drove my friends nuts talking about Minis. Someday someday, in 2004 , my wife and I were at a Brit car show, I was pretty depressed, I was forced to retired, I broke my neck at work., she was talking to a guy (who I later found out I went to high school with) who had the 73 Min. She bought it! Great car, Even greater wife. I think I'll keep them both.
