Assuming that it is your "Mk1 or nothing" shell, it depends on your concience. Sure you could stick Pixie's S VIN to it, but everyone would know what you've done and it would make you no better than the shysters that are marring our hobby.
Probably best to talk to the DMV in person and discuss.

Make your own VIN tag, stamp your own made up number into it. Then call Broadway Title Co. They take roughly 10 weeks, but they will produce a clean Alabama bill of sale.

not tryig to cheat becasue some belive its wrong , but if needed, i have a few vins with out a car , one is a cooper "s' 67 for sale .

Get a bill of sale and after you build the car you apply for a new vin number as a kit car. Call the DMV and ask them.

I may have found a shell albeit without vin and papers.
Someone please elnlighten me on what I am ahead for. Will I even be able to register this in Texas keeping in mind my allergicness to being imprisoned?
