Hi,

Do you have anymore pictures of your Mini (the green one with Beige top)?

My Mini was chopped and modified into a convertible.  It doesn't fit very well though as rain and wind get through easily.

Thanks!!

I've seen speaker pods that go under the dash (they stick out) - that's kinda a hideous solution though.  I don't know how deep they are, so I don't know how they'd fit in the doors.

Beautiful Mini!

My '2 cents" on the wheel arches...given the two tone paint roof and body, I'd be inclined to go body colour with whatever arches/sill strip you will use.  I don't think roof colour would work as well on the arches unless the sill strip was also roof colour.  Sill strip can stay black with black mounting rubber of W & P arches.

I chose gloss black City arches because the paint combo was black and yellow.

Look forward to seeing your Mini on Oahu!

with the boot open, you can see the metal tab on the right edge of the opening where the antitheft switch would be mounted on the late model minis. Here's a suggestion for what to do with it:

get a courtesy switch (the same part that was used on the doors), and a stock Rover Boot Light (the same one used in every BL car's trunk since the early '70s, if in doubt buy the one from the Midget or MGB, both super plentiful in this country) and mount that to the rear edge of the Boot opening (there is a flange there you can screw into). Grab power off of the battery.

I did this on my car and am so happy I did:

- it puts something into that empty hole (switch), so things look more "finished" somehow

- it provides desperately needed light in the Boot when you go in there at night

Your car looks great, and I like the black wheel arches if you ask me!

I guess I'm just biased against the Sprite arches. I could strangle the PO who fitted them to my car. Getting them to body colour is no big deal; some plastic sealer, high build primer and top coat.

The trouble is that, if you decide to remove them, you're left with a bunch of ugly holes that need welding and a paint job.

Cheers, Ian

Both group 2 and W&P arches are wider than the std arch. Fit them and the choice on wheels or spacers will need to be reconsidered to fill the arch properly.

I think the std arch is far more subtle and understated for the Swiftune engined sleeper that this car is...

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.

Aznsurfer-

Ok, it's a quick/crude Photochop, but this is what it looks like with body color arches.  Lovely car.  MTech does superb work. I'm with some of the others though, and I think W& arches would be very sharp!

Agree on the cheap arches,  Otherwise a beautiful car.  Consider Group 2 or Wood & Pickett.  M-Tech Mike does indeed build to very high quality, and doesn't do revins.

I was going to say something but kept my tongue. The arches as they stand are horrid.

Jim I'm really glad you found the seats you wanted. You tried so hard for so long to source a set. You deserved to find them! The Mini is looking really smart, but then again I'd expect nothing less from Mike

The black plastic arches actually don't look too bad on a Mini.  They have a fairly substantial texture to them, so making them body color wouldn't be as easy as just lobbin' some color towards them.  That being said, with a little bit of plastic dressing on them (like "Back to Black" - I think Meguiars made that) they look good on my car.
