Easily Add Power with Tunit Tuning
Tunit provides an efficient and adaptable method of enhancing a vehicles performance (power and torque) without the need to alter the vehicles original equipment or programming. The advantages of the Tunit are; adjustment for optimum efficiency (both manually, by the customer and electronically, via a PC by a distributor), flexibility, as in movement from one vehicle to the next and ease of installation. The principle of Tunit is to provide all these advantages that previous methods of tuning such as EPROM replacement and "flashing" or OBD tuning could not.

So I guess if you made a movie about racing back in the day, you had to own a Mini:-)

The best paint job I've see for quite some time was at MMW last year. Two tone grey & pinstriped in black - I believe it was a panel van.

If I remember I'll shoot some pics to this thread tonight.

Martin.

Here is a shot of mine. Ralph already put up one shot. This is another angle. I had a pin stripe done to join the two colors.

The people that say it cannot be done will always be interupted by the people who are doing it!

elpez, you were right. Found the car on the site. Silver over black. Very nice looking. Different but not "odd". Looks right. Thanks.

Thanks for the photos, guys. And Garner's car even has what look like Mambas...like I have. Or are they Revs? Did they make Revs back then?

Friend of mine who was editor of both Car Life and Road & Track back in those days interviewed both Garner (since he was with "his" racing team) and Steve McQueen (about the time of Bullett) and was very dissappointed by both of their attitudes which mostly upset me about McQueen. They both jerked my friend around quite a bit and came off as less than great people. What did I expect, right?

Seems like several Radfords were painted that way, and depending on the color combo, looked good.  When I was stationed at Charleston AFB back in the early eighties, there was a guy on base that imported a Mini with a really weird paint scheme.  His car was an orange/red with the area above the beltline painted black, but the roof was the body colour.  Looked like a bloody Raccoon.  To make matters worse, he put an aluminum eagle that was designed by "Home Interiors" in the middle of the grille.  Oh yeah, the entire car was painted with spray cans.  What a mess that thing was.  If anyone knows the car, I hope it fell into good hands and was saved from "Eddie"!

some one should do a rasta colored mini, red bottom, yellow middle at that line, then green roof.

that would be pretty cool

Why change something you got right in the first place?

I was thinking black over medium to dark grey (anthrocite?) with black hood and large black stripe on boot and black flares with dark wheels.

I've never seen one in person, but i've seen photos of a few different ones.  I think it'd look pretty sharp especially if you picked chrome friendly colors and then used the (Hornet?) strip of chrome around that same crease.
