Easily Add Power with Tunit Tuning
Tunit provides an efficient and adaptable method of enhancing a vehicles performance (power and torque) without the need to alter the vehicles original equipment or programming. ULTRIK COLD AIR INTAKE & AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
2002 - 2006 MINI Cooper S Installation of the ULTRIK Cold Air Intake on the 2002 - 2006 MINI Cooper S with an Automatic Transmission requires an additional step in the installation. Issue:
The Cooper S Automatic has an additional 'hard line' that conflicts with the space occupied by the ULTRIK Cold Air Intake heat shield (due to its oversized airbox). Solution:
The simple solution is to move the 'hard line' aside and put a sheath over the hard line for protection against abrasion over time. A piece of heater hose works great. Procedure:
Obtain a 2 inch piece of heater hose large enough to cover the hard line. Cut a slit along the length of the hose. Slip the hose piece over the hard line at the point of contact and secure with plastic zip ties. Maintenance:
Occasionally check the condition of the hard line to ensure the sheath is in place.
