Worn out rotors? The factory recommends replacing rotors when worn instead of 'turning' them. These are the factory MINI replacements for your 2007+ R56 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Hatchback, and for your 2008+ R55 MINI Cooper and Cooper S CLUBMAN, and 2009+ R57 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Convertibles.
The Cooper S Front Rotor also replaces the 2002-2006 JCW Sport Brake Kit with the Red Calipers. These ventilated front rotors (294 x 22 mm) are not slotted or drilled. Rear rotors (259 x 10 mm) are solid. Sold individually - two required for the front set.
Sold each.
Select Cooper or Cooper S, Front or Rear from the pull-down menu. 2 required for the fronts and 2 for the rear.
For replacement rotors on the R56/55/57 JCW Cooper S with the factory Big Brake Kit, see G2NMB3004.
If your Brake Wear Warning light is illuminated, you need to replace the brake wear sensor, see G2NMB2020
If you need to replace the set screw that holds the rotor in place, see NMB7603.
See Brake Upgrades for options with brake upgrades.
MINI recommends the brake fluid be replaced every 2 years. See ATE Super Blue for replacement brake fluid. ATE Super Blue is a high quality performance fluid that will last much longer than the standard DOT4 fluid. This is an ABS friendly fluid.
