M7 NITROUS SYSTEM - COOPER 'S'

Nitrous Oxide injection is the ultimate in a go-fast button for your MINI Cooper 'S'.

The M7/Venom Nitrous System was designed specifically for the MINI, and was conceived with the safety of the engine in mind. Using a computerized control module, it continuously checks the O2 sensor for lean or rich fuel mixtures. The unit also checks the throttle position and fuel injector pulse width.

This dry nitrous system uses the fuel injectors for added fuel enrichment. We also offer larger fuel injectors, which gives you the option to safely go with a high horse power nitrous valve. The system is very simple--no buttons to push or counting to ten avoid blowing up the motor. Simply arm the M7/Venom system with the switch on the control module and when you are ready to start the nitrous flow, just give full throttle and the system will do the work for you. If the system senses a lean condition it will immediately shut off the nitrous flow, preventing engine damage.

Stopped by M7 today to have my venom system fine tuned and was able to take a ride in their demo car. Mine was running a little lean and the Venom system was shutting it down a bit, as it was designed to do. We went down a size in the jet and all is good. This car is running a 75 shot of nitrous and bigger injectors in the fuel system, and the best way to describe the acceleration is it reminded me of my old '64 Chevelle with a big block. Talk about the scenery rushing by, Damnnnn! We got up to 130 with more to come but we really weren't in as open an environment as we would have liked and had to shut it down. The difference between my car with the 40 shot and his was amazing, and mine is no slouch -- as the JCW car I ran away from can attest. Truly fun stuff and the best part in my opinion is that it is part time. You aren't running anything higher than it was really designed for ALL the time, just when you really need it. Additionally it is safe, as I found out when the control module let me know I needed to re-jet. In any event I feel there isn't a bigger bang for the buck for the MINI at this time; I will keep posting any new developments ... Randy Page

On Saturday I had the opportunity to ride in the M7 "Venomized" MCS. When Peter kicked in the nitrous, the acceleration was almost neck breaking, and elicited several choice four-letter expletives. I don't see any practical value in the nitrous system, except for straight line racing or the thrill of leaving others in the dust, especially when they call your car "cute" ... Bob Winer
